By submitting payment for a sponsorship tier, you agree to the terms on this page.

1. Sponsorship Tiers & Pricing

Annual plans offer approximately 2 months free compared to monthly billing.

2. Use of Funds

Sponsorship contributions are used to sustain and advance the RACK Protocol ecosystem, aligned with the same priorities that govern license fee revenue (see the FAQ):

• Protocol maintenance and development: Keeping RACKP's specifications sound and the RFC process open — including patent and trademark costs that keep the protocol open, project infrastructure, and independent security audits of reference implementations.
• Norm development support: Funding technical Norm development in domains where no industry body has yet formed, and participation in international standards bodies (ISO, IETF, and similar).
• Early relief fund for AI-caused physical injury: A portion of revenue is held in reserve to support individuals affected by AI-caused bodily harm while legal processes proceed.
• AI adoption support: Academic partnerships, conference participation, and outreach that help individuals and organizations participate in AI development safely.

These are intended categories of use, not itemized commitments. RACKP is currently operated by an individual, not a foundation; whether and when governance transitions to an independent foundation is undecided. Should that transition happen, formal fund reporting would be introduced at that point. Sponsorship does not direct how funds are allocated.

3. Payment

• Invoices are issued via Stripe. Payment by bank transfer is preferred; card payment is also accepted.
• For monthly plans, invoices are issued at the start of each billing month.
• For annual plans, invoices are issued at the start of the sponsorship year.
• Sponsorship listing will be activated upon confirmation of payment.

4. Duration & Cancellation

• Monthly plans may be cancelled at any time. The sponsorship listing will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
• Annual plans are non-refundable. Renewal notices will be sent at least 30 days before the end of the term.
• In the event of non-payment, the sponsorship listing will be removed without prior notice.

5. Listing & Display

• Sponsors will be listed on the Sponsors page with their company name and website link.
• Platinum sponsors may additionally provide a logo image (PNG or SVG, provided by the sponsor).
• RACKP reserves the right to decline or remove a sponsorship listing at its discretion, with a full refund issued for any unused period.

6. Disclaimers

• Sponsorship does not grant any influence over the protocol specification, roadmap, or governance decisions.
• Sponsor names and logos are used solely for acknowledgement purposes and do not imply endorsement of any specific product or service.

7. License Fees & Early Adopter Program

Sponsorship (this page) supports protocol development and provides visibility benefits. It is separate from the per-artifact license fee that applies to Referee operators under the LICENSE.

Operating a Referee (R) node commercially requires no application — see the Licensed Partners page for fee details. Keeper (K) node operation carries no license fee. An Early Adopter Program is available for organizations that commit early, offering discounted license fees in exchange for a 2-year sponsorship commitment.
